Day 1: Chiang Mai. Full Tour in Chiang Mai
Once at the airport in Chiang Mai, we’ll take you to the hotel (also pick-up to your hotel in Chiang Mai). After a brief rest, we will go to contemplate the beauty of the temple Wat Chedi Luang, then visit the Meo Hill tribe located in Doi Pui. This area was famous years ago by opium cultivation. This setting is situated at 1,500 meters above the sea level. The journey continues and we will visit Wat Doi Suthep, the most popular temple in this part of Thailand, an amazing panoramic view of Chiang Mai will await you. Followed by this, we head to San Kamphaeng district, popular for being the heart of the culture of silk and cotton in Thailand. You’ll witness the fascinating process of making and weaving of these popular fabrics. Next is Bor Sang, the "umbrella town", famous for producing and painting by hand the popular paper of the umbrella called tais. From here, we head to Tai Celadon, 6 km from the city of Chiang Mai. Tai Celadon is popular for the production of ceramics. Some of the parts are produced here depicts impressive beauty, difficult to find elsewhere in the world. Also, we’ll be able to see how the artisans work with lacquer and silver. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 2: Elephant Safari and Trekking in Chiang Mai
Breakfast at the hotel and depart straight to Mae Taman Camp to see how elephants work. Worth seeing how this sacred animal in Thailand takes part of the daily life of the Thai people. Then atop an elephant’s back we’ll cross the river inside the jungle of Chiang Mai for almost an hour. Followed by this, we’ll go back to the elephants village where we’ll have lunch (food included in a local restaurant). After lunch we’ll enjoy an exciting rafting adventure along the river for almost 45 minutes. Finally, we’ll go to the orchid farm, where we’ll see the beauty and variety of this flower so popular in Thailand. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 3: Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai y Golden Triangle
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Chiang Rai by road for 3 hours. Before visiting the popular Golden Triangle we’ll stop to Wander through the magical world of the temple Rong Kun, or White Temple. This temple is considered one of the emblems of Buddhism in Thailand and much of Asia. We’ll continue by road for 1 hour to visit the town of Chiang Saen, the oldest in the north of Thailand. Lastly we arrive to the famous Golden Triangle, popular for hundreds of years for being the epicenter of the opium trade. From the top of a hill we can see the beauty of the Mekong River and the Golden Triangle formation between the countries of Laos, Burma and Thailand. Enjoy a fun boat ride on the Mekong River for an hour. We spend the night in Chiang Rai.
Day 4: Chiang Rai-Bangkok and other destinations
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to do what you want until the transfer to the airport to fly to Bangkok or other destination.
