Day 1: Chiang Mai. Tour completo en Chiang Mai
Once at the airport in Chiang Mai, we’ll go to the hotel (also included in your hotel in Chiang Mai). After a brief rest, we will go to see the beauty of the temple Wat Chedi Luang, then visit the Meo Hill tribe located in Doi Pui. This area was famous years ago by opium cultivation. This setting is situated at 1,500 meters above the sea level. The journey continues and we will visit Wat Doi Suthep, the most popular temple in this part of Thailand, an amazing panoramic view of Chiang Mai will await you. Followed by this, we head to San Kamphaeng district, popular for being the heart of the culture of silk and cotton in Thailand. You’ll witness the fascinating process of making and weaving of these popular fabrics. Next is Bor Sang, the "umbrella town", famous for producing and painting by hand the popular paper of the umbrella called tais. From here, we head to Tai Celadon, 6 km from the city of Chiang Mai. Tai Celadon is popular for the production of ceramics. Some of the parts are produced here depicts impressive beauty, difficult to find elsewhere in the world. Also, we’ll be able to see how the artisans work with lacquer and silver. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 2: Elephant Safari and Trekking in Chiang Mai
Breakfast at the hotel and depart straight to Mae Taman Camp to see how elephants work. Worth seeing how this sacred animal in Thailand takes part of the daily life of the Thai people. Then atop an elephant’s back we’ll cross the river inside the jungle of Chiang Mai for almost an hour. After this, we’ll go back to the elephant’s village by traditional wheelbarrow, where we’ll eat (lunch included in a local restaurant). After lunch we’ll enjoy an exciting adventurous rafting along the Mae Taeng River. Finally, we’ll go to the orchid farm, where we’ll see the beauty and variety of this flower so popular in Thailand. Breakfast and lunch is included. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Day 3: Doi Inthanon from Chiang Mai
Pick up at the hotel at 9 am and we will visit the Numtok temple, of Chinese origin and for their striking colors. We will continue our way to the Doi Inthanon National Park. Doi Inthanon National Park is one of the most beautiful national parks in Thailand. Covers the districts of Chomthong, Mae Wang, Sanpatong, and Toi Lor Sub-district of Chiang Mai with a total of 482 square kilometers. While in the national park, we’ll go and visit the highest mountain and temple of Thailand, 2,565 meters above the sea and breathtaking waterfalls called "Mae Ya" and "Wachirathan" among others. Stop for lunch near waterfalls (food is included). Return to the hotel at 5pm.
Day 4: Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai and Golden Triangle
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Chiang Rai by road for 3 hours. Before visiting the popular Golden Triangle, we stop to admire the beauty of the Rong Kun temple or White Temple. This temple is considered one of the emblems of Buddhism in Thailand and much of Asia. Continue by road for 1 hour to visit the town of Chiang Saen, the oldest city in northern Thailand. Finally we arrive at the famous Golden Triangle, popular for hundreds of years for being the epicenter of the opium trade. From the top of a hill, we can see the beauty of the Mekong River and the formation of the Golden Triangle between the countries of Laos, Burma and Thailand. We will enjoy a fun boat ride on the Mekong River for an hour. Overnight in Chiang Rai.
Day 5: Chiang Rai-Bangkok or other destination
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time until transfer to airport for the flight to Bangkok or other destination.
